Burgess GAA notes 28 October 2013

Club Lotto:

There was no winner of our draw on Monday 14th. The numbers drawn were 9,12,23 & 24. The 4x25euro winners were; kevin McGrath,Monroe; Christy Griffin,Newtown; John Sheary,Dolla: John Hogan,Gortmore.  Last Monday nights  draw, the 28th,  was in Barry’s.  For the bank holiday Monday jackpot of €5,100. Next weeks draw on Monday 4th of November will be held in Reidys pub , Newtown.

County Draw:

As we are now about 6 months into this year’s county draw we ask that all members would bring their accounts up to date. Please contact your promoter or our county draw coordinator Emma Kearns.

We are once again appealing for anyone with team photos from times past to display in our new facilities in Kilcolman. We are looking anything pertaining to the clubs history and would be delighted to accept donations of photos or where necessary organise for originals to be scanned and reproduced. If you have anything that you would like to donate please contact club PRO Padraig Hogan or any club officer.

5 year plan:

We will soon begin work on our club five year plan. The categories that we will be planning for are as follows.

(1) Coaching and games development

(2) Club Structures and Administration

(3) Finance and Fundraising

(4) Facilities and Development

(5) Communication/Pr and Culture

We will soon invite all members and interested partys to attend a workshop where we will develop our own plan for the next five years for our club. Examples of other clubs plans will be available in printed version at Kilcolman and links to the same will be added to the club facebook page.

This work is very important for the future success of the club and so we would ask for as much input as possible in the formulation of the plan.

Hard luck to the Burgess Duharra girls who were defeated in the munster championship semi-final by Milford at the weekend.

Five year plan

We will soon begin work on the clubs five year plan if you have any ideas you would like to add to the discussion please keep an eye on the clubs notes and social media pages for information on when these meetings will take place. Any and all input would be greatly appreciated.

A talk will be given in Kilcolaman on this Tuesday 15th of October at 8pm by Jim Minogue and Denis Floyd outlining the ideas and aim of creating a five year.

Burgess GAA Lotto Draw

There was no winner of last weeks Lotto Jackpot the numbers Drawn were 1, 17, 20 & 27. This weeks Draw was in Reidy’s, Newtown on 7th October for a jackpot of €4,800. Next weeks Draw will be in Ciss Ryan’s, Garrykennedy on 14th October.

Best Wishes

The club would like to extend our best wishes to the family and friends Loughmore Castleiney’s and last years Tipperary Intermediate hurling captain Eddie Connolly who was taken ill recently. We wish  him a full and speedy recovery.
