Juvenile notes:

U12 football: Well done to our U12 footballers who beat Shannon Rovers 9-05 to 2-02. It was an excellent all round team performance. Well done to all the boys. See the club Facebook page for a full match report. Our next match in this competition will be on Friday 11th  v Moneygall in Kilcolman at 6.30. All support is greatly appreciated>

U14 football hard luck to u14 team who were beaten by a stronger Newport Gales team in Newport . Our next match will be on Wednesday 9th v Shannon Rovers in Kilcolman

U16 Football: well done to u16 team who drew with Ballina. Our next match will be against Toomevara on Monday 7th in Kilcolman see Facebook page for results.

Cul Camp:

Congratulations to Stephen Kirwan who represented Burgess in the u13 Cul Camp competition which was held in Semple Stadium at half time of the Tipperary V Cork league match.

Easter camp will be held on Wed 16th, Thurs 17th, Fri 18th April from 10am to 1pm please contact club secretary (086) 3934363  if you are interested in attending,

Handball:

Congratulations to Aidan O Flaherty who qualified for U15A nationals next weekend.  Congratulations also to Jack O’Keeffe who qualified for U13B nationals and to Anna O Keeffe who qualified for U11 doubles with Megan Morris (Nenagh).

Flag Day:

Burgess Juvenile Club are holding our annual flag day in Nenagh on Holy Thursday 17th April. We will be looking for volunteers to help out on the day, please contact club secretary (086) 3934363 if you can spare some time on this day.

Junior A Hurling:

Our Junior A hurlers had a hard fought away win against Toomevara on Saturday evening last for a full match report please see the club website. We face Moneygall in the next round of this competition at a time and date not available at the time of writing. Please check the fixtures list here and the clubs social media pages for further details.

Senior Hurling:

Our senior hurlers get their county championship campaign underway on Sunday 13th of April in Toomevara at 12:30. We are asking that everyone makes their way to Toome to support the lads.

Kilcolman community recreation & development opening:

We’re having the official opening of the Kilcolman community recreation & development society in the community centre in Kilcolman is on at 8pm on Friday the 11th of April! People will have a chance to view all the buildings facilities on the night and there will be tea and sandwiches afterwards. Everyone is welcome to attend!

Last Man Standing:

The last man standing competition in aid of the senior players training fund now enters its eight week with the numbers of players dwindling. The table can be viewed on the Burgess GAA Facebook page and we would ask that all competitors get their selections in before 10pm on Friday next. Remember to send in your name followed by your selection to 087 7636837.

Club Lotto:

There was no winner of Monday March 31st’s jackpot. The numbers  drawn were 8,22,23 & 26. The 4x25euro winners were: Brick Ryan, Nenagh: John Carroll, Kilcolman: Anne Hickey,Ballina: Cathal Griffin,Kylebeg: This week’s draw was held in Molly Ban’s for a jackpot  of €7,400. Next week’s draw will be held in Reidy’s Newtown. We thank everyone for their continued support for the club lotto which is vital to the continued success of Burgess GAA Club.
