Burgess GAA Notes 29th September 2014

Hard Luck Tipperary:

Hard luck to Eamon O’Shea and the Tipperary hurling team who were narrowly beaten at the weekend. Thanks for your efforts throughout the year and hopefully we can go a step further next year.

Senior Hurling:

Currently we lie in second place in our group with 3 points and a +6 point score difference ahead of third place Borris-Illeigh. Borris and fourth place Silvermines have yet to play their final group game. A Borris win of greater than  7 points would see us pushed into third place however if Drom&Inch win the Mid final three teams will go forward from our group to the last sixteen of the county championship. Borris and the Mines will face each other this coming weekend. Though our fate is no longer in our own hands we are not without a reasonable chance of advancing in the championship.

Club Lotto Results:

There was no winner of last night’s jackpot. The numbers drawn were 5,10,24 & 27. The 3 x €40 winners were Tom Martin, Borrisilleigh: Jenny Hayes c/o PJ Hogan: Aidan O’Flaherty Youghallarra: next week’s draw will be in Molly Ban’s and the jackpot will be €10,900.

This is the 200th post on the site and we hove you’ve enjoyed the content. If there are any suggestions or improvements you feel strongly about please let us know and we will certainly consider them.
