Burgess GAA Notes 6th October 2014

Senior Hurling:

Act #1

Before the weekend we had two chances of qualifying for the last sixteen of the senior hurling county championship. Our first required Borris-Illeigh to either lose or win by less than 7 points against Silvermines our second was that Drom&Inch would win the mid. As it happened Borris-Illeigh won comfortably and Drom won the mid championship by a single point thus putting us through to the last sixteen.

Our opponents will be Borris-Illeigh who we previously drew with in our second group game of the county championship. The final score on that occasion was Burgess 2-13 Borris 1-13. The game will take place on Sunday next, 12th of October, in Toomevara at 3pm. Our lads are looking for all our support on the day.

Club Lotto:

There was no winner Monday September 29th night’s Lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 5, 10, 24 & 27. The 3 x €40 winners were Tom Martin, Borris-illeigh: Jenny Hayes c/o P.J. Hogan: Aidan O’Flaherty Youghalarra: This week’s draw was held in Molly ban’s for a Jackpot of €,10,900
