Burgess GAA notes 20th April 2015

Senior Hurling:

One time I caught a fish and it was this big Spudy regales the lads with an account of a recent fishing trip

Our senior hurler’s next outing in the county championship will be on Saturday 25th April at 6:30 in Dolla. Given the results from the opening round of games we must get something from this game. All support is greatly appreciated. As is usual please check the fixtures page of the Guardian and the clubs social media for any late fixture changes.

Junior Hurling:

We were beaten by Templederry  in the league at the weekend on a score of 1-14 to 2-18.


Well done to U12 football team who beat Borrisokane on a score line of Burgess 3-7 Borrisokane 1-6


Hard luck to U 16 football team who were beaten by Shannon Gaels in Kilcolman recently.

Club Lotto:

There was no winner of Monday 13th Aprils jackpot. The numbers drawn were 6,7,13 & 25. The 3x40euro winners were Fergal McDonnell, Carrigatoher: Joe Ryan c/o Dinny Ryan: Darren Griffin, Nenagh; sellers prize Jane Quinlan. This w week’s draw is in Molly Bán’s, for a jackpot of €3,150.

Our joint winners of two weeks ago were presented with their oversized novelty cheques at our weekly draw in Molly Báns, Nenagh on Monday night last. A fine crowd of well wishers were on hand to help Billy Ducie and Niamh Mulqueen celebrate their recent Lotto success.

Club Lotto AGM:

The AGM of the lotto committee is taking place this Thursday 23rd at 8pm in Kilcolman. We request and welcome all players and members of the senior Club to attend this important meeting. It is the main fundraising arm for the senior club and your support for the coming year is crucial for its continued success.
