Burgess GAA Notes 1st June 2015

Primary Schools Hurling:

The victorious Burgess NS team and management The victorious Burgess NS team and management

Well done to the players and management of Burgess NS who won their north final on Tuesday last.

They beat Boher N.S. 4-4 to 1-12 in a thrilling final. Kieran Grace scored a goal in the last minute to secure the win. The victory was remarkable considering Burgess NS were 0-8 to 0-0 down at half-time after playing with the breeze in the first half. Eoin Grace top scored for Burgess with 3-2. Joshua Delaney was captain on the day and accepted the trophy on behalf of the team. Well done to John Hogan and Tommy Coughlan who trained the team and to manager Brid Slattery.
Hard luck to Boher NS and their manager, our own Niamh Hogan, daughter of John who trained the Burgess team.
