Burgess GAA Notes 7th September 2015

Sevens Hurling:

We sent two teams to Dublin to play sevens hurling at the weekend. Our seniors in Kilmacud failed to progress from their group despite winning two games. They were narrowly defeated, in sevens terms, by the eventual winners Borris Ileigh, 2-8 to 0-11.
Our Junior side advanced to the last 16 in the St Judes competition only for there progress to be halted by Tipperary opposition also. This time it was Skeheenarinky who were the opposition and the final score was 1-6 to 0-3.

U14B Hurling:

Hard luck to our u14’s today when Ballyneale Grangemockler proved to be too strong for us in the county semi-final.
We are immensely proud of our young hurlers who bridged a twenty year gap to bring the north cup back to Burgess. The final score in the county semi -final was Burgess 1-7, Ballyneale Grangemockler 1-12.
Club Lotto:
There was no winner of last week’s Jackpot held in Ciss Ryan’s, Garrykennedy. Numbers drawn were 11, 14, 22 & 27. This week’s Draw was in Molly Ban’s, Nenagh. The Jackpot was €6,150. Next week’s Draw will be in Larkin’s, Garrykennedy on Monday 14th September. Best of luck and thank you for your continued support. Tickets €2 each. Play today!
