Burgess GAA Notes 21st December 2015

U21 Hurling:

Our u21’s bowed out of the North Championship after a 3-14 to 0-15 defeat to Portroe at the weekend. We would like to thank the players and management for their efforts for what has been a very long year. The lads gave a great display of heart and determination in miserable conditions and were undone by the concession of unlucky goals at the wrong time.

St. Stephens Day game:

We will be holding exhibition games at 1pm on St. Stephen’s day in Kilcolman. Last year’s game was a great success and I’m sure this years will be even more so. We will have a mixed senior game featuring our senior hurlers and the all-conquering Duharra girls. There will also be a juvenile game featuring this year’s u12’s and u14’s. There will be no entrance fee and a collection bucket will be passed around in aid of Ronald McDonald Houses and the Cardiac Unit in Crumlin Children hospital. It’s a fantastic cause and I look forward to your support.

BURGESS GAA LOTTO DRAW:

There was no winner of last week’s jackpot held in Molly Ban’s, Nenagh. The numbers drawn were 2, 9, 11 & 14. Our big Christmas Draw was held in Reidy’s, Newtown last Monday night. The Jackpot was €4,650. Next week’s Draw will be in Barry’s, Newtown on Monday 28th December. Best of luck, Merry Christmas to all and thank you for your continued support.
