Burgess GAA Notes 4th April 2016

Table quiz:

Our table quiz held on Friday night last in aid of The Cardiac Unit of Crumlin Children’s hospital and the Ronald McDonald houses was a great success. We raised in excess of €1,300 for two worthy causes, nearly double what was expected and had a great night into the bargain. Great credit is due to Ann McGrath and Mairead Darcy for organising such a marvellous night. We would like to thank Geraldine and Dervla Barry for being such great hosts once again.
We would like to thank all those who sponsored the wonderful spot prizes that made the raffle such a success.

Junior A Hurling:

Our junior A’s will face Silvermines in the next round of the league in Dolla on April 16th at 3pm.

Senior Hurling:

We will open our 2016 county championship campaign on Saturday 9th of April at 18:30 in Toomevara against Moyne Templetouhy. We wish the lads every success in this years championship and I’m sure they can count on a large vociferous Burgess support on the day.

Minor Football:

Our minor footballers got a walkover from Ballina in the North Championship last week.

U12 Football:

Well done to both our u12 football teams who won both their games against Kilruane on Wednesday last.

U16 football:

Well done to our u16 footballers who defeated Borrisokane on Easter Monday 3-6 to 1-7.

Club Lotto:

There was no winner of last week’s draw held in Molly Ban’s, Nenagh. The numbers drawn were 11, 13, 22 & 25. This week’s draw was held in Reidy’s, Newtown. The Jackpot was €6,900. Next week’s Draw will be in Barry’s, Newtown on Monday 11th April. Best of luck and thank you for your continued support. Tickets €2 each. Play today!
