Burgess GAA Notes 20th June 2016

Feile na nGael:

Our u14s bowed out of Feile in the semi final to eventual winners CRC Gaels of Offaly but that didn’t take away from what was a great weekend for the club. Huge credit must go to the officers for organising everything, coaches for delivering a terrifically prepared team and to the girls for their win. Months of preparation went into this. It was something unique for the club and the kids will always remember it. Great friendships were made with our guests Carrick Hurling Club of Leitrim that I’m sure will carry on into the future.

Finally huge congratulations must go to the Duharra girls on their fantastic great victory which put the cherry on top of what was a great weekend.

A message from the u14 management:

The U14 management would like to thank the following for a very successful Feile weekend. The U14 players, all 25 of them for their brilliant team performances in all 5 games. They played as a team and never gave up. They didn’t pick up one yellow card in all the games but played hard and fair. Their behaviour at all times was top class. Secondly the parents for supporting them through out the competition

. Bringing them training, purchasing the burgess gear and having them turned out, looking so well in their tops, socks and togs. You all can be very proud of them as we the management are.

Lastly but most importantly the Burgess Juvenile committee. They put in a lot of hard work both preparing and making sure it all ran like clockwork on the weekend. Everything we asked for we received and a lot more. Also nyone that helped out serving food and refreshments. Remember this is all voluntary.
Thanks from the U14 Management. Hon Burgess 💚💛👍😊
