Burgess GAA Notes 11th July 2016

Well done to Donagh Maher and the senior Tipperary hurlers on their Munster final win at the weekend. Well done also to the minor hurlers who were also victorious.

Special Summer Camp:

The club was proud once again to host the special summer camp last week in Kilcoleman we would like to thank all the youngsters from the club who helped make it such a success.

Cul Camp:

Cul camp took place last week in Kilcoleman and it was a big hit with the children of the parish. Cork Camogie star Ashling Thompson was on hand to coach the kids and great time was had by all.

Senior Hurling:

We will play Upperchurch Drombane in the final of the Johnny Ryan senior league. The time date and venue are not available at the time of writing so please check the club’s social media and the Guardian fixtures for further information.

Junior A Hurling:

We play Toomevara next in the North championship at a time, date and venue to be confirmed. Please check the club’s social media and the Guardian fixtures for further information.

Palestinian Children visit:

We were hoping be hosting a group of Palestinian in Kilcoleman children on Thursday and had planned to  give them a demonstration and some coaching of our national games however the children had some visa issues which prevented them from travelling. This was very disappointing for the children who no doubt were looking forward to  a fun visit to Ireland.
