Burgess GAA Notes 12th September 2016

Senior Hurling:

Our seniors defeated Borrisokane in the north quarter final on Wednesday last by 2-20 to 0-16. It was then a quick turnaround for the semi-final the following Sunday to face Kilruane. Kilruane made tie most of the gale early in the first half with three goals but to our lads credit they never gave up and fought valiantly to the end. Despite our best efforts Kilruane ran out 3-12 to 1-14 winners. Hard luck to the players and management the county championship now awaits and Borris Ileigh are confirmed as our next opponents. This match to take place on the weekend of the 24th.
