Burgess GAA Notes 19th September 2016

Senior Hurling:
We recommence our County championship campaign on Sunday next when we face Borris Ileigh in Dolla at 3pm. All support is greatly appreciated for our lads.

U16 Hurling:

Our u16’s face a strong Ballina side in the North ‘B’ final this Saturday at 12pm in Portroe. Please come along and give our young hurlers your support on their big day.

U13 Hurling:

Well done to our u13 hurlers who notched up two good wins recently. The first a 1-10 to 0-6 home victory over Eire Og and the second an impressive away win over Moneygall Clonakenny 5-7 to 2-6. The boys have now qualified for the semi-final of this competition.

U6 and U8:

Our youngest players (u6’s) represented the parish in a series of challenge matches in Newport on Saturday last. Our lads had a great time and we would like to thank Newport GAA for inviting us. A big thank you too to our coaches and all the parents who made the trip with there children.

Well done to our neighbouring clubs on their North final successes at the weekend. Kiladangan once again in the senior and Ballinahinch in the intermediate for the first time.

Club Lotto:

There was no winner of last Mondays club lotto draw. The numbers drawn were 12, 15, 17 & 20. The 3 x €40 lucky dip winners were Siobhan O’Riordan, Nenagh, John Fogarty, Gurteenakilla & John Woods, Ballywilliam. The sellers prize went to Johnny Flynn. This weeks draw was in Reidys for a jackpot of €3,900.
