Our u21’s travelled to Shallee on Sunday morning last and recorded a fine 0-18 to 0-12 win over Ballina. We hurled against the wind in slippery conditions our lads laid the foundations for the win with a great first half defensive performance. Well done lads.

Hard luck to our senior hurlers who were beaten by a late goal in Sundays county senior Hurling game v Mullinahone. The final score was 1-17 to 0-18. Our injury woes have increased with a shoulder injury to Stephen Murray and we also suffered a harsh red card for Brian Hogan. Our next senior outing is the North quarter final against Templederry at 2pm in Nenagh on Sunday June 11th. We are looking for big support for our lads again.
Junior B League:
Our juniors put in a good performance against Lorrha on Friday last but just ran out of legs in the second half and a strong Lorrha pulled away to finished 0-16 to 2-22.

Striking Video:

With our minor and underage hurlers in mind we have created this instructional video on striking (the ball!). We would urge all of our players and their parents alike to take a look at the footage and take on board some the tips shown.
And who better to demonstrate striking but current senior hurler and one of the best strikers of the ball you’re likely see, our very own Stephen Murray.
We would like to thank Declan Kirwan, whose brainchild this project this is, for his vision and for putting the work into producing this video. We would also like to thank Fergal McDonnell for his input and for doing such a professional job with the editing. Finally thanks to Stephen Murray and Stephen Kirwan who did so well in front of the cameras.
