Congratulations:
We would like to express our immense pride in the achievements of the Burgess Duharra senior camogie team who captured their 6th successive county title in style at the weekend. We would like to wish them the best of luck in the Munster championship.
u21 Hurling:
Our u21’s travelled to Shallee on Sunday morning last and recorded a fine 0-18 to 0-12 win over Ballina. We hurled against the wind in slippery conditions our lads laid the foundations for the win with a great first half defensive performance. Well done lads.
Martin O’Leary tournament:
The u11 Martin O’Leary tournament took place on Saturday October 7th in Kilcolman with four teams taking part. Kilruane, Kiladangan, Portroe and our own boys. The event went off well with Kilruane running out deserving winners. We’d like to thank Kilruane Port and Kiladangan for taking part and all in the juvenile club who organised the event and provided refreshments on the day. Thanks also to our intercounty star Donagh Maher who presented the medals and thanks also to Martin’s son Aidan who presented the trophy.
Club Lotto:
There was no winner of last week’s club lotto draw. The numbers drawn were 12, 19, 24 & 26. This week’s lucky dip €40 winners were, Bernadette McKenna Newtown, Mary Ryan Ballyhogan and Martin Browne c/o D Pallas Bar. Pat Cremin claimed the seller’s prize. This week’s draw was held in Barry’s for a jackpot of €3550.
