The Chaser:

We held our Chaser launch in front of a massive crowd in Reidy’s on Thursday evening last. The club is proud to announce that the response has been overwhelming. Along with the 8 exhibitors we now have in excess of 170 advertisers on board and counting! The focus now pivots to selling tickets for the show itself. Family tickets are available for €50 and will admit a family of four adults and single tickets can be had for €20. It promises to be a great night of family fun. We would like to thanks all who have worked so hard promoting this endeavour on behalf of the Burgess senior and juvenile club and the Burgess Duharra Camogie club.

Burgess Gaa Notes 23rd April 2018

Senior Hurling:

Our seniors continued their great start to the year with a comprehensive 1-21 to 0-12 win over Templederry in the north senior championship. Our lads put in a great defensive performance in the opening half where we played against a very strong wind. Unfortunately we have a couple of injury concerns to key players in the aftermath of the game. Danny Ryan was the man who bagged our first half goal while Stephen Murray wowed the crowd with two brilliantly pointed line balls in the second half. Wingback Johnny Mulqueen was also on song firing over three lovely points from play while Eoin ‘Leahy’ Hogan did the ‘divil’ in the full forward line banging over five points. The win puts us in a quarter final against Nenagh on Sunday April 29th in Toomevara at 18:45 all support is greatly appreciated.

U14 football:

Our u14’s had a big away win over Kiladangan on Wednesday last. Well done to all.
